With over 50 venues across 8 brands in Australia, Aotearoa (New Zealand) and North America, our growing team is on the lookout for a passionate, professional and fun Head of Product for our Support Office in Abbotsford, Melbourne. 

This role is a 12 month maternity leave cover contract.

What You'll Do 

  • Provide strategic direction and leadership to the product management team, aligning product strategies with business objectives 
  • Oversee the product development lifecycle, from ideation to delivery, ensuring products meet business and consumer needs 
  • Mentor and lead a team of six product owners and a business analyst, with an intentional effort to encourage and foster Funlab culture within the team; innovation; collaboration; and continuous improvement 
  • Collaborate closely across teams, departments and stakeholders to drive product success and alignment 
  • Communicate product vision, strategy and roadmaps to relevant stakeholders, including but not limited to the executive team, senior leadership, operations and external partners 
  • Identify, manage and mitigate risks associated with product development and launch, with a focus on balancing minimising potential impacts and successful outcomes 
  • Lead and assist with Agile Project Management ceremonies including but not limited to stand ups, sprint planning, retros etc. 
  • Be responsible for the completion of projects on time and on budget 

What You've Got* 

  • 4+ years in product management, with a proven track record of successfully leading product teams and delivering innovative products to market 
  • Bachelors degree in project management, business, marketing or related field; alternative or similar qualifications considered 
  • Experience working in eCommerce is advantageous 
  • Proven people leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams 
  • Ability to present and communicate complex ideas to diverse audiences with a range of experience and technical knowledge 
  • Demonstrable analytical and problem-solving skills to support strategic decisions with a data-driven and customer centric mindset 
  • Excellent Agile project management skills 
  • Proven cross-functional success across different teams, departments and stakeholders 
  • Atlassian knowledge and experience across multiple projects and teams 
  • Proactive, ability to work autonomously, with a sense of urgency and a positive can-do attitude 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
  • Well organised planner who works well under timeline pressures 
  • Proven ability to build and manage relationships with different stakeholders 
  • A burning desire to show what you've got and what heights you can take the business
