Reporting directly to the Head of Non-Financial Risk, you will lead the 2nd Line Technology Risk team responsible for advising and challenging the business with its implementation of the NFR framework, with a specialised focus on technology risk.
This role is a senior appointment and is a trusted advisor independent to the first line of defence and business line. It is also a people leadership role, managing the Technology Risk team’s workforce, strategy and planning with a remit to continuously develop talent.

What you’ll do
- Develop and own the 2LOD technology risk management plan that aligns with ING Australia’s goals and regulatory obligations.
- Provide expert advice and assurance on the implementation of the Non-financial Risk Management framework, and associated policies, procedures, and control standards, focusing on Technology risks.
- Assist the Head of NFR in the overall and ongoing development, embedding and management of non-financial risk management and its associated frameworks across the business.
- Manage the TRM team to ensure that it is future-fit and continuously improving, which includes leading, recruiting and developing talent.
What we’re looking for
- Minimum 15 years with banking and financial services with at least 10 years experience in Technology and/or Technology Risk, within the 3 lines of defence.
- 10+ years’ experience in managing teams.
- Strong understanding of NFR including the frameworks and in practice.
- Strong understanding of technology risks including the frameworks and in practice.
