Burnie, Australia Stride Full time

About Stride:

Stride is a name that expresses our ambition – it’s a name that’s purposeful and shows awareness of the important role we play in the recovery journey. We are leaders in mental health service delivery, specialising in working with adults and young people, and in early childhood intervention.

As we embark on our next stage, join us to make a difference. We're here to Stride.

About the service:

The Medicare Mental Health Services are free and you do not need an appointment, referral or Medicare card to visit a Medicare Mental Health Centre. The new services in Devonport, Burnie and Outer Hobart are co-funded by the Australian and Tasmanian Governments, to provide a streamlined approach to support better mental health and social wellbeing across the country.

The service is tailored to the needs of the community in Tasmania and provides a combination of peer-led recovery and clinical support.

The Medicare Mental Health Centre provides a safe, welcoming and supportive environment for people experiencing psychological distress, allowing them to:

  • Identify alternatives to presenting to the Emergency Department for low risk individuals
  • Access support from trained mental health professionals within their community, outside a clinical setting.

On Offer:

  • Based at the Burnie site
  • Full-time, permanent opportunity
  • Excellent base salary plus super
  • Salary packaging options (up to $15,899 tax free) and meals/entertainment packaging of up to $2,650
  • Leave loading at 17.5%
  • Work/life balance, supporting time with family and friends
  • Leave purchase options available
  • One paid wellbeing leave day per year
  • Paid parental leave support
  • Stride Rewards – access to discounts from 100s of retailers (fashion, food and fitness)
  • Supportive team environment
  • Excellent training & career development opportunities
