About the opportunity:

We currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Compliance & Advisory Lead to join the Finance team on a full-time permanent basis.

Reporting to the Accounting Advisory & Governance Manager, this position is responsible for:

  • Supporting a wide range of corporate governance and compliance requirements including APRA reporting.
  • Providing on-going support to ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) requirements
  • Supporting the integration of newly acquired businesses including system integrations
  • Providing technical accounting advice to the wider network
  • Supporting implementation of Finance Transformation projects

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Proven experience working in a large Compliance/Finance/Accounting function within a complex organisation; Or relevant experience gained within a Big Four firm.
  • Highly developed communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Highly developed analytical skills and stakeholder engagement
  • Strong organizational skills to manage conflicting and changing priorities.
  • Experience in compliance activities and SOX/APRA reporting requirements is highly desirable.
  • Experience with acquisitions, divestitures and legal entity corporate simplification is advantageous.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant area or similar qualification or equivalent knowledge and skills developed through professional experience.
  • Completed professional accounting qualification (CA / CPA)
  • Full unrestricted working rights within Australia
