About the role

As Compliance Ranger with the Local Laws and Parking team, you will be responsible for providing technical support in relation to community compliance, licensing and investigations, in particular those relating to the key themes of healthy environment and community life.

Some of your key responsibilities will include:

Investigate alleged breaches of legislation and complaints and enforce legislative requirements in accordance with departmental procedures and policies Prepare documentation such as notes and reports on inspections or investigation of complaints Issue verbal and written warnings, formal notices and penalty infringement notices for breaches of legislation and Council’s Local Laws In conjunction with senior staff, compile and update procedures for branch technical practices to reflect changes to legislation and best practice within the community compliance, licensing and investigation operational areas

About you

To be successful in this role you will have:

Current Queensland C class driver’s licence Diploma qualification in a relevant field or equivalent with significant experience (desirable) Certificate IV in Government Investigations or equivalent (desirable) Substantial customer service experience in a confidential environment to carry out a range of duties required in a timely and professional manner

About the benefits

This is a permanent full-time position, level 2 – 4 with a salary between $69,425 to $91,170 plus superannuation of up to 12.5%.
