Test Lead – Infrastructure/Telephony

About the opportunity:

Our client is a leading insurance provider, known for their innovation and customer-centric solutions. As part of their commitment to excellence, they are expanding their technology team and seeking a skilled Test Lead with experience in infrastructure or telephony/contact center environments to drive quality across critical systems to work on a telephone upgrade program.

As a Test Lead you will be placed on projects and be responsible for working closely with Test Managers to plan, co-ordinate and execute all BAT and PVT testing activities which will be managed using Agile delivery methodologies.

Skills and Experience:

  • Minimum 4 years of testing experience preferably with Insurance Industry background
  • 3+ years working within Agile projects
  • Minimum 2 years on IT infrastructure / Telephony related programs
  • Advanced stakeholder engagement skills (at senior level) combined with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a meticulous attention to detail

Roles and responsibilities:

  • Proven experience as a Test Lead in infrastructure, telephony, or contact center environments.
  • Experience in the insurance industry or a similar regulated environment is a strong advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of infrastructure systems, including servers, networks, and telephony systems (e.g., Avaya, Cisco, Genesys).
  • Familiarity with contact center technologies and platforms.
  • Expertise in test management tools (e.g., JIRA, HP ALM, TestRail) and defect tracking systems.
  • Ability to design and execute both manual and automated tests.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex systems and processes.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience with regulatory and compliance standards in the insurance sector is a plus.

Qualifications

  • ISTQB Certified Tester Foundation Level Certification (CTFL) - desired
  • ICAgile Certified Professional - Agile Test Automation (ICP-ATA) - desired
  • Degree in Business or IT related discipline - desired
  • Agile Fundamentals -  ICAgile Certified Professional (ICP) or similar
