Job Description

Robert Bosch (Australia) Pty. Ltd. are seeking applications for highly motivated Mechanical or Electronics undergraduate Students to join our cross-domain computing solutions department on a maximum-term part-time contract for 12 months commencing in January 2025.

Our undergraduate student program:

offers 12 month paid placements with potential for further opportunities to extend, offers flexibility around your study commitments or alternatively we welcome you full-time, includes being part of our Students@Bosch Program, which includes work and social activities, which are designed to encourage and support your career, provides opportunities to development and grow your skills in tandem with your tertiary studies within a multinational corporate environment, provides cross functional opportunities, entitles you to staff discounts on company products, provides on-site free car parking.

Qualifications

As a member of our student group, you will be studying either mechanical or electronics engineering and be in year 2 or 3 of your degree OR hold a diploma or technical certification in electronics or metrology.

You will additionally, be able to demonstrate the following to a high level:

Effective communication skills, both written and verbal including a strong focus on customer and stakeholder relationships. Excellent attention to detail, be able to prioritise multiple tasks, work well within a team with senior engineers while also working effectively individually. Have a strong interest in innovation and be open to opportunities to utilize learnings from your degree. Proficiency in MS Office Knowledge of SAP systems and ISO17025 standards (desirable) Knowledge of metrology or experience with capability studies (desirable)

Some of the tasks that you would complete in this role are:

Coordinating external calibration packing and returns Leading external calibration tasks and driving process improvements. Suggesting and participating in calibration improvement projects Supporting the calibration process owner with process tasks and discussing metrological requirements with equipment owners Assisting with problem-solving related to calibration issues Attending quality and calibration team meetings

Next stage candidates will be asked to attend an onsite Student Assessment Centre at our Clayton office week commencing 18 November 2024 (if asked to attend you will be needed for up to half a day) Student offers will be made by end November 2024 Student commencement will be 20 January 2025
