Working closely with the Executive Manager Capital Strategy and Funding, this role is accountable for proactively leading and supporting a variety of end to end activities in relation to the capital instruments and delivery of the wider capital strategy of the Suncorp Group.

What you’ll do

Contribute to the delivery and activities associated with the Group’s capital plan and strategy Oversee the execution of capital issuances and other capital management initiatives including planning, leading project teams, engaging advisors, coordinating the preparation of necessary legal, disclosure and investor documents etc.Support the forecast and analysis of capital instruments (including funding plan, distributions, capital returns etc)Stay curious & challenge the process, balancing efficiency, quality, risk & value add activities.Support engagement with APRA and rating agenciesResearch and prepare advice and other communication including to relevant Senior Management, Committees (i.e. GALCO, due diligence committees) & the Board.Proactively work on your professional developmentSupport other key deliverables of the Capital Management team as required. This may include capital forecasting and reporting, stress testing, ICAAP documentation and half yearly reporting.

Job Requirements

Requires relevant tertiary qualifications in fields like Finance, Accounting, Actuarial studies, or Law.Significant experience managing multiple deliverables, for example delivering large listed consolidated accounts or other disclosure documents or other large projects.Demonstrates flexibility and thrives in an environment of continual improvement and an end-to-end mindset.Possesses strong stakeholder, relationship, interpersonal, and influencing skills.Comfortable working with diverse teams and stakeholders, recognizing the value of varied perspectives.Demonstrates financial and commercial acumen alongside an ability to research, interpret, and advise within technical frameworks.Open to learning and acquiring capital and regulatory knowledge on the job, with additional knowledge of capital market instruments considered advantageous.
