Overview

Our large, commercial client is seeking an experience Solutions Architect to help lead the design of high quality solutions that maximise the potential of opportunity and technology with regards to organisational needs. This will be a 6 month contract with potential view for extension. 

Responsibilities

  • Engaging with relevant project stakeholders to clearly understand business and technical requirements and deliver appropriate architecture options, solutions and artefacts, as necessary.
  •  Represent your solution to stakeholders and peers being able to adjust your delivery to the appropriate target audience. 
  • Provide advice on all technical aspects of the solution design, development and integration (including specifications, security and risks, etc.) and ensure that relevant architectures, strategies, policies, standards, and practices are applied correctly. 
  • Ensure delivery of solution architectures within projects by managing the target design, policies and standards, and by working proactively to deliver a stable, viable architecture and ensure consistency of design across projects within the programme. 
  • Provide comprehensive guidance on the development of and modifications to solution components to ensure that they take account of relevant architectures, strategies, policies, standards and practices and that existing and planned solution components remain compatible.

Skills

  • 5 years’ experience in application development 
  • 5 years’ experience in developing application solution architectures and roadmaps across multiple domains, in particular Insurance. 
  • Experience with Microsoft Suite or Microsoft Cloud. 
  • Knowledge of Solution Architecture frameworks, methodologies and tooling 
  • Ability to present ideas to varied target audiences. 
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Knowledge of Guidewire or other major Insurance Applications
  •  Insurance services experience

Desirable Skills

  • Experience in some or with multi domains business systems, services and technology, including Digital, Insurance, Bank and Assistance. 
  • Experience in Cloud (IaaS/PaaS) architectures 
  • Knowledge of leading technology solutions in the web and mobile domain 
  • Knowledge of integration patterns and information security 
  • UML and BPMN 
  • Experience with regulatory programmes of work
