Our Commonwealth Government client is seeking to engage a Business Analyst at the APS5 or APS6 levels to join their Reform Taskforce. The successful candidate will assist with the investigation of business needs and opportunities, and provide recommendations for business processes improvement.   

An initial 12-month labour hire contract is on offer, with possible 12-month extension.

These roles are based in Canberra, ACT (flexible work arrangements will be considered in line with business requirements).

Please note: only candidates with an existing Baseline (or above) security clearance can be considered for these roles.

Duties:

  • Investigation of business needs, problems, opportunities and recommendation of effective business processes improvements.
  • Preparation or contribution to business cases, which define potential benefits and options for achieving these benefits through development of new or changed processes.
  • Advise stakeholders and colleagues on the choice of techniques, tools and processes required for modelling and analysis activities and tasks.
  • Apply knowledge of business analysis methods and techniques, modelling and quality assurance techniques to understand and articulate business processes and contribute to business outcomes.

Requisite skills/experience:

  • Demonstrated experience in business analysis, preferably in a government context
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of multi-disciplinary teams;
  • Possess an outcome-focused mindset with an ability to achieve results;
  • Be flexible and adaptable to changing work priorities; and
  • Be positive and motivated.
