Nursing Support Unit Opportunities

About the role
We are seeking applications from suitably qualified Registered Nurses, Endorsed Enrolled Nurses & Personal Care Workers to join our Nursing Support Unit (NSU). NSU staff have permanent hours and an electronic roster which advises shift locations.
NSU staff are required to work across all directorates; acute, sub-acute and residential aged care settings to fill staffing shortfalls and unplanned high activity demands.
NSU staff are required to work AM, PM and night duty shifts. NSU staff are required to input their shift requests into our electronic rostering system for review.
NSU allows you to enjoy the variety of working across all our directorates whilst maintaining a permanent position.
To be considered for this role you must be living in the Ballarat region.
You will be required to provide 2 referees; one being your current manager and the second another manager / supervisor.

Key Responsibilities
Skills and experience
Minimum of 12 months experience as a Registered NurseRegistration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA and hold a current Practicing Certificate Current NDIS Worker Screening Check, or willingness to obtainCurrent Working with Children Check, or willingness to obtainDemonstrated clinical knowledge and skills, commensurate with experienceEndorsed Enrolled Nurses
Key Responsibilities
Maintaining accurate availability in our electronic rostering system and accepting shifts based on availabilityPatient care for a diverse range of residents in varied care settingsParticipate in the provision of resident focused, holistic careProvide accurate and timely communication with the team regarding resident health statusDocumentation and updating of care plansCommunication with residents, visitors and staff at all levels within Grampians HealthCollaborate with multidisciplinary teams to achieve positive, resident focussed outcomesParticipate in annual performance reviewsCommitment to ongoing mandatory educationSkills and experience

Successful completion of a Certificate III in Individual Support (or relevant equivalent) - please ensure you upload a copy of this with your application.Assist Clients With Medication Unit, desirable but not essentialCurrent HLTFSE001 - Follow Basic Food Handling Practices certificate, or willingness to obtainCurrent NDIS Worker Screening Check, or willingness to obtainCurrent Working with Children Check, or willingness to obtainPrevious experience in a similar role would be preferred, but is not essentialCulture & Benefits
