The Opportunity

The Opportunity
We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Associate to join our highly-regarded Projects team in Perth. Working closely with award winning and leading Partner David Hugo as well as a team of exceptional specialists in their field, you will be acting for government and private sector clients, with a strong pipeline of development, outsourcing and transactional matters for major infrastructure projects.

This role will play a key role in managing and building the client portfolio providing you with the opportunity to work on a range of work from hospital, port and rail projects to linear infrastructure developments and large-scale commercial acquisitions. You will also be supporting the development of junior solicitors in the team.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

demonstrable experience in assisting a range of clients on infrastructure, energy or resource projects from a leading national or international private practice firm or in-house environment;

have an excellent academic record, coupled with a strong legal skills and a practical mindset;

demonstrate a proactive approach and desire to be an integral member of our leading and supportive team;

have an ability to work to tight timeframes, both collaboratively and at times autonomously;

have excellent communication skills and ability to demonstrate collegiality within a team;

have a hunger to learn and develop, and be part of a market-leading practice.

The Team:
We have a market leading Projects team who advise public and private sector clients on a range of large-scale projects, including in the health, transport and logistics, waste, water, social infrastructure, resources and energy sectors. We have particular expertise in construction and development law, outsourcings and public private partnerships (PPPs), and secondary market sales of assets such as ports, airports and water treatment plants.

We value collaboration, working with team members from different groups and disciplines (such as corporate, project finance, property, environment and planning and disputes) to provide a full service offering to shared clients and to pursue common opportunities.
