ABOUT THE COMPANY
Our client, a prestigious all-girls school in Parramatta, is seeking a dynamic Communications Officer to join their team. This role involves creating, implementing, and overseeing internal and external communication strategies to effectively convey the school’s messages. You will work closely with the Digital Marketing Officer and be part of a supportive and collaborative team that is passionate about community engagement and the school's mission.

ABOUT THE ROLE
This role will see you diving into a busy schedule, hitting the ground running from the start. You will develop and manage multi-channel communication strategies to support community engagement, enrolment, recruitment, fundraising, and alumnae activities. This position offers a fantastic opportunity to work in a team-oriented environment with a strong focus on customer service and community engagement.

DUTIES

  • Develop copy for all external communications including website content, articles, newsletters, magazines, promotional assets, and social media.
  • Maintain the school’s brand by editing and proofing content for various channels.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to assist with internal communications.
  • Manage the production of school publications, such as newsletters, bi-annual magazines, and yearbooks.
  • Work with the Digital Marketing Officer to create brand assets for advertising campaigns.
  • Assist with social media content creation and publishing, as well as website content maintenance.
  • Achieve key success metrics for communications as outlined in the Advancement Strategic Plan.
  • Work collaboratively with the Advancement Team, fostering a customer-centric culture.
  • Attend events as a representative of the school, including annual events that may occur on weekends or evenings.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Post-secondary qualifications in Communications, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience in copywriting, preferably in a communications or marketing role.
  • Willingness to actively support the school’s mission and values.
  • Current or willing to get a Working with Children Check.
