**About this role**

The communications officers are key roles in the newly formed Forward Planning team, designated to support the NSW Health and NSW Government response to public health priorities.

As a Communications Officer in the Forward Planning team, you will:

- Deliver and support an annual program of communication activity across communications, campaigns, marketing, engagement and media teams.
- Support a consistent approach to communications plans, events and initiatives.
- Maintain an accurate forward plan of communications activity.
- Produce reports and dashboards and analyse activity to improve communication integration and a culture of continuous improvement
- Collaborate with a broad range of stakeholders across the NSW Health system and other NSW Government agencies.

This role sits within the NSW Ministry of Health’s Strategic Communications and Engagement branch.

**Crown Clerk 7/8,** salary from $101,947 - $112,849 plus Super and annual leave loading

**What you'll be doing**

Key responsibilities for this role include:

- Develop plans, templates and dashboards (including researching, writing and editing) for a range of communications activities and channels.
- Assist in the development and implementation of an annual calendar and program of work to support the delivery and reporting of SCE projects for the Ministry of Health.
- Assist in developing and implementing templates for communication strategies targeting identified audiences to support health objectives.
- Prioritise reporting activities and evaluation of communications activities.
- Engage stakeholders across the SCE branch and wider system to leverage a consistent approach to delivery and evaluation of health messaging and content to ensure a whole of NSW Health approach to achieving NSW Government objectives.
- Develop and maintain stakeholder relationships through effective communication, negotiation and issues management to ensure project deliverables are met.
