ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking two Casual Events and Campus Services Assistant for our Ringwood, Melbourne campus. You will be working closely with Events and Campus Services Coordinator and will assist with the operation of all campus services and facilities including the EBC Events and Conference centre and short and long-stay accommodation to the highest possible standard.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring all campus services and facilities including workspaces, meeting spaces, recreation spaces and accommodation are properly equipped, safe, clean, comfortable, set-up and ready for use as required. 
  • Preparing the Commercial kitchen for food preparation and clean up during/after events and meetings. 
  • Portioning, heating, plating, and serving food in accordance with safe Food Handling practices. 
  • Accepting deliveries and storing them appropriately 
  • Monitoring stock levels of amenities and supplies  
  • Restocking of amenities and supplies for the short and long-stay accommodation and other campus facilities as required
  • Unpacking and shelving linen deliveries and preparation of linen trolleys for the cleaners
  • Advising the Events and Campus Services Coordinator of any issues or concerns with readiness of services and facilities.

ABOUT YOU

  • Demonstrated hospitality or functions and events, accommodation, or related experience.
  • Physical fitness and a willingness to undertake hands on work.
  • A basic qualification in Food Handling that meets Victorian Food Act Requirements (or an undertaking to obtain the qualification on commencement).
  • A willingness to complete the required training to act as a Food Supervisor in accordance with the Act.
  • Demonstrated hospitality or functions and events, accommodation, or related experience.
