We are currently seeking a Plant Operator to join the team; this position is a casual with an opportunity for permanency for the right candidate. Training will be provided, there is room for growth within the company, management is very supportive of this.

Work Duties:

•            Operating earthmoving equipment (i.e. Frontend Loader, landfill compactor, excavator & skid steer) up to and including 150 BHP (estimated 112kW, Less than 20 Tonne)

•            Inform and assist drivers and/or members of the public of proper placement for dumping loads to ensure most effective spreading of waste or other materials

•            Excavate, load dry waste (metal, wood, general rubbish and other materials to compact and/or cover waste in accordance with company/contractual requirements and applicable regulations

•            Operate vehicles and equipment in accordance with training, instructions or operating procedures and company regulations

•            Assist with general housekeeping duties

•            Maintain a professional image and always deliver high quality customer service

Minimum Requirements:

Drivers licence

Excavator and or Loader ticket

Full working rights without restriction

Able to pass a full functional medical including drug and alcohol screening (urine)

The Ideal Candidate Will Possess:

Experience in the waste industry (desired, not essential)

Good work ethic, reliable and punctual

Strong commitment to safety

Self-motivated, show initiative

Mechanical aptitude

Work well in a team

PPE Required:

Long sleeve reflective high vis shirt, long drill pants and steel cap boots

What's In It For You:

Temp to perm after 3 months (for the right candidate)

Competitive pay rate - $44.56 per hr (including casual loading) plus penalties

Monday to Friday - 32 to 38 hours per week, plus overtime when required
