Impairments Benefits Analyst

- Geelong (Hybrid working model – 3 days per week in the office)
Purpose
The Impairment Benefits Analyst, will be a key member in the Impairment Benefits Team within the Claims Division, which leads the management and oversight of individual agent performance and contract compliance.
The purpose of this position is towork with and oversee the Agent Panel in relation to the management of impairment benefit claims. This is to ensure that impairment benefit claims are properly assessed in accordance with the AMA Guides and relevant legislation to ensure timely receipt of entitlement by workers.
The role will also provide wider support in in meeting the organisation’s performance targets associated with our critical measures and the achievement of business goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitoring claims management performance by Agents including oversight of the agent performance adjustment program.
- Providing guidance and support to Agents, internal and external stakeholders on impairment benefit claim management.
- Identifying opportunities to improve performance and developing and implementing programs, policies and measures to address these opportunities.
- Developing the capability of Agents and Independent Impairment Assessors in the management and assessment of impairment benefit claims.

About you
You will be an experienced Analyst with strong knowledge and experience with the AMA Guide 4th Edition who has a strong ability to be able to give advice and information and be able to interpret existing legislation and policy particularly relating to claims management. Your key strengths will include your communication skills including facilitation of groups and your ability to work collaboratively whilst also independently.
You will also possess:
- Knowledge of claims management processes particularly an understanding of the Victorian system for managing, compensating work injuries, including the ACCtion and NOVUS systems.
- An ability to investigate, research and provide authoritative recommendations on claims management strategies aimed at ensuring continuous improvement.
- Proven ability to effectively translate policy into operational processes, procedures and practices.
- Extensive experience in the development, implementation and evaluation of initiatives or projects.
