Job Description

SGS is excited to welcome a new Occupational Hygienist to our team in Perth.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Conducting field observations and occupational hygiene assessments Performing inspections for hazardous material Monitoring Indoor and outdoor air quality  Preparing technical reports and hazardous management plans Provide governance in health and hygiene related incidents and IH monitoring results exceedances investigations, managing their records and provide the necessary recommendations/actions (Engineering and Administrative controls, PPE management) to ensure a safe and healthy workplace. Track the progress on the implementation of the required controls by managing the related NCRs raised in Crystal - the SGS Incident Management Software  Maintain the Global Industrial Hygiene software.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have the following:

Full Member of the Australian Institute of Occupational Hygienists or, a tertiary degree in chemistry or engineering and provisional AIOH membership or, an equivalent competency under an international certification scheme (for example - Certified Industrial Hygienist). Completion of the AIOH Basic Principles of Occupational Hygiene course or equivalent. National Police Clearance. Full Australian Driving Licence
