Job Description
SGS is excited to welcome a new Occupational Hygienist to our team in Perth.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Conducting field observations and occupational hygiene assessments
- Performing inspections for hazardous material
- Monitoring Indoor and outdoor air quality
- Preparing technical reports and hazardous management plans
- Provide governance in health and hygiene related incidents and IH monitoring results exceedances investigations, managing their records and provide the necessary recommendations/actions (Engineering and Administrative controls, PPE management) to ensure a safe and healthy workplace.
- Track the progress on the implementation of the required controls by managing the related NCRs raised in Crystal - the SGS Incident Management Software
- Maintain the Global Industrial Hygiene software.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have the following:
- Full Member of the Australian Institute of Occupational Hygienists or, a tertiary degree in chemistry or engineering and provisional AIOH membership or, an equivalent competency under an international certification scheme (for example - Certified Industrial Hygienist).
- Completion of the AIOH Basic Principles of Occupational Hygiene course or equivalent.
- National Police Clearance.
- Full Australian Driving Licence
