About the role

Reporting to the Asset Systems Manager, you will be responsible for providing leadership and support to drive best practice electrical strategies, standards and techniques for short, medium and long-term reliability. You will be a person who is driven by systems, processes and discipline. You will ensure continuous improvement in plant reliability, cost reduction and work control through standardization, development and maintenance of SAP data, failure analysis and work management principles. You will ensure systems and processes are in place for managing electrical risk to the business.

  • Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of electrical systems and reliability engineering for optimal performance and longevity.
  • Analytical & Problem-Solving: Skilled in analysing data, troubleshooting issues, and implementing solutions to minimize downtime.
  • Maintenance Focus: Experience in developing preventive and predictive maintenance strategies to enhance system reliability.
  • Attention to Detail: Thorough in inspections, audits, and ensuring compliance with safety and efficiency standards.
  • Project Management: Ability to manage reliability improvement projects on time and within scope.
  • Collaboration & Communication: Strong team player with clear communication skills for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Continuous Improvement: Proactive in identifying system enhancements and driving innovation.
  • Adaptability: Flexible in adapting to new technologies and operational changes.
  • Industry Knowledge: Familiar with electrical codes, safety regulations, and compliance standards.

About you

As a minimum, you will hold and / or maintain the following:

  • Electrical Engineering Degree, and/or Trade or Tertiary qualification in an Electrical Engineering field;
  • More than five years’ experience in electrical engineering in a medium to large company;
  • Experience in and knowledge of the raw sugar manufacturing process well regarded but not essential;
  • Computer literacy in Microsoft applications and Maintenance Management systems including Microsoft Office Suite and ERP applications (SAP);
  • Strong Demonstrated WHS & E knowledge.
