Key Responsibilities:

  • Prospect, identify, and develop new business opportunities within the packaging industry.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, providing exceptional customer service and support.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to meet or exceed sales targets.
  • Negotiate pricing, contracts, and terms of sale to close deals and maximize profitability.
  • Prepare and deliver sales presentations to prospective clients, effectively communicating the benefits of our timber packaging solutions.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely delivery and fulfilment of customer orders.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activity and customer interactions using CRM software.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to identify opportunities for growth and effectively position our products in the market.
  • Provide timely and accurate sales forecasts, reports, and updates to management.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Proven track record of success in B2B sales, preferably in the packaging or related industry.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence decision makers.
  • Strong business acumen and ability to understand client needs and market dynamics.
  • Self-motivated and target-driven with a passion for exceeding goals.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, with a strong sense of accountability.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel as needed

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of timber packaging materials and manufacturing processes.
  • Experience working with clients in industries such as logistics, manufacturing or agriculture.
  • Familiarity with sustainable packaging practices and environmental regulations.

This position will primarily be located in a sales office environment, with the working hours of 9am to 5pm, along with frequent travel to meet with clients and attend industry events. The role may require occasional lifting of materials and working in warehouse or manufacturing settings.
