Job Description

Your new role and how you’ll make a difference

As a visionary Senior Product Manager with a deep understanding of credit risk, credit decisioning and data platform product vision, data analytics, and regulatory compliance, you will lead the development and optimization of our products.

This role requires a strategic thinker capable of driving product vision, managing cross-functional teams and strategic partnerships, and delivering exceptional product experiences that meet dynamic market and customer demands.

You will be responsible for the entire product lifecycle, from ideation to launch and beyond, playing a crucial role in the products' success.

Your understanding in digitising credit decisioning for commercial and consumer lending, combined with your ability to leverage data for credit decisions, will be essential in delivering innovative and successful products.

The value-add things you’ll be doing

  • Define and articulate the product vision & strategy and bring in industry “Best in practise” view for customers and product.
  • Develop a comprehensive product roadmap aligned with business goals and priorities.
  • Continually interact with existing and prospective customers to build a structured understanding of their needs and use insights to shape roadmap and backlog priorities.
  • Implement and follow a modern product management framework to convert key customer problems and opportunities into product features working closely with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Lead the end-to-end product lifecycle from ideation, requirements gathering, business case preparation, design to development, launch, and iteration.
  • Ensure the platform complies with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Create and maintain product documentation such as product manuals, Q&A and training material.
  • Lead and manage a team of high performing product managers ensuring continuous improvement in the product management practice.
  • Partner with key stakeholders to regularly review and update (as required) pricing information across all assets.
  • Conduct market research, user feedback sessions, competitor analysis and data analysis to gather insights and validate product hypotheses.
  • Use data-driven decision-making to drive product innovation and improvement.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, including senior leadership, customers, partners, and regulatory bodies.
  • The role is customer facing, your experience in consulting and influencing is important.
  • Communicate product vision, roadmap, and progress to ELT & SLT and other stakeholders, ensuring alignment and managing expectations.
  • Monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) relating to our products and conduct data analysis to evaluate product performance, identify areas for improvement.

Qualifications

The experience and qualifications you’ll need to be successful

  • Consumer & Commercial lending domain knowledge, with direct experience in leading technology products in these domains
  • Excellent storytelling skills, able to convince stakeholders with a compelling vision and goals for their products and portfolio.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Proficient in presenting information and responding to questions from managers, clients, customers, regulators, and occasionally the general public or journalists.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering or related fields.
  • Extensive experience in the credit and finance industry is crucial. This includes knowledge of credit risk management, underwriting processes and regulatory requirements related to credit products.
  • Commercial acumen and knowledge of strategic business plans, operational executions plans and customer experience improvement plans.
  • Experiences in building/developing credit decisioning platform.
  • Understanding of the technologies used in credit decisioning platforms, such as machine learning models for credit scoring, API integrations, and software development processes.
  • Proven track record of leading cross-functional teams, including engineering, sale, marketing and operations. Extensive experience in collaborating with a complex and multi-tiered stakeholder group to realise commercial outcomes.
  • Strong skills in managing relationships with stakeholders, including executives, customers and third-party vendors / partners.
