The Continuous Improvement Manager is a newly created role that will collaborate with stakeholders across Projects and other business units to assess end-to-end processes, find optimisation solutions, and drive positive change.

We are seeking an accomplished professional who has Lean Six Sigma Green Belt (LSS) accreditation and demonstrated experience leading process improvement implementation and change, preferably in the rail environment.

We need you to be a positive-change influencer and advocate for service excellence and continuous improvement.

About the role

You will be busy engaging with stakeholders across Projects and business units, assessing end-to-end processes, mapping them, and identifying optimisation solutions, as well as producing documentation and workflows to shape future service delivery methods.

This role is concerned with continuous improvement, positive change influence, and transparent project support.

Key accountabilities include:

·Working closely with stakeholders to review identified pain point processes and ways of working.

·Creating process documentation and workflows of current state and using those to suggest future state ways of delivering services across units.

·Pioneering new collaborative approaches and enhancing the customer journey by challenging the status quo.

·Leveraging Lean Six Sigma (LSS) methodology to lead and participate in process improvement projects.

·Defining the “Voice of the Customer” and aligning it with patronage trends and operational metrics to craft a well-rounded narrative that guides the development of control plans, ensuring ongoing and measurable improvements.

·Providing coaching support to LSS project leads on the use of the DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyse, Improve, Control) project roadmap.

·Working collaboratively to support sponsors and business owners with the delivery of initiatives.

·Providing information and support to stakeholders on initiative and project progress including issues and risks.

·Producing business requirements, process documentation and workflows, knowledge articles, risk assessments and presentation packs.

·Fostering a shift in mindset among V/Line staff to grasp, internalise and maintain transformative practices.

About you

You are self-motivated and know how to bring out the best in people.

Essential requirements:

·Certified Lean Six Sigma Green Belt from an accredited institute.

·Demonstrated capability producing process documentation and workflows to influence future ways of delivering services.

·Demonstrated experience leading process improvement implementation and change, preferably in rail.

As a Continuous Improvement specialist, you bring the following capability:

§ Project & Change Management: Understands methodologies related to project and change management.

§ Process Improvement: Proficient handling process improvement projects.

§ Coaching and Influencing: Strong coaching and relationship-building skills.

§ Analytical Skills: Data analysis, reporting, and problem-solving.

§ Driving Change: Pragmatic and innovative with outstanding analytical and project management capability.
