This pay rate is inclusive of mandatory 25% casual loading
The role:
- 10 Week Contract (might extend)
- Monday - Friday, 38 hour week, Onsite
- Based in Melbourne City
- Payrate: $48-$55 per hour plus super
The Responsibilities:
- Ensure the delivery of a high-quality fortnightly payroll service and undertake and deliver a range of payroll services to the business.
- Provide accurate and timely advice to staff on a range of people and payroll service matters, including salary and leave entitlements, payroll and human resources policies and procedures and conditions of employment.
- Support the P&C Business Partner and Workplace Relations team with timely and accurate payroll related advice and support.
- Autonomously undertake investigations, troubleshooting and resolve complex payroll matters.
- Maintain, update and verify accurate computerised and manual people and payroll data, including maintaining organisational structure, deductions and pay reconciliations, restructures and other relevant processing activities within strict timeframes.
- Provide support to the Payroll Services team
- Any other duties within the scope of this role, as directed by your leader
The Requirements:
- Demonstrated experience in providing high quality payroll advice, including, administration and system maintenance, the ability to resolve problems, develop solutions and achieve results.
- ADP experience (payroll / third party system) is a MUST.
- Strong working knowledge and understanding of how relevant agreements, legislation, policies and procedures related to the delivery of payroll and people services.
- Highly developed understanding of people management and payroll practices, including a sound understanding of Leave calculating.
- Provide sound advice to managers and leaders to assist them to deliver business outputs.
- Actively seeks out feedback from others within the team to establish resulting actions when addressing complex payroll issues.
- Collaborate with other business areas and teams to identify and implement initiatives that will support the payroll function.
- 5 + years payroll experience processing full function high volume payroll with the ability to process and calculate employee terminations and variations to employment conditions.
