At IQVIA , our data science team is at the forefront of providing advanced analytics and innovative solutions. We work with complex data and methodologies, collaborating closely with our consulting, technology & solutions, production, and other divisions.

As a Data Scientist, you will have the unique opportunity to leverage your skills to empower advanced analytics and build unparalleled in-depth knowledge within our business. You will be instrumental in delivering analytic studies and solutions to support business needs and objectives.

This role involves delivering projects efficiently and effectively, meeting expectations through advanced analytics and data-driven insights. You will perform both quantitative and qualitative analysis to inform deliverables and develop, implement, manage, and validate statistical models. You will assist the consulting team and other divisions by recommending appropriate data assets, methodologies, and statistical techniques. You will also work with consulting principals and account managers in business development efforts.

As our Data Scientist, you will manage urgent and complex project development, requiring sophisticated modelling and visualisation. You will ensure the highest data quality throughout all stages of acquisition and processing. You will apply machine learning, data mining technologies, and large language models in developing innovative solutions. Lastly, you will stay informed on industry, client, and competitive trends, demonstrating continual learning and industry engagement.

Qualifications:

Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, Statistics, or Mathematics (Advantageous)

2 years’ experience in consulting or services, with a preference for exposure to health and life sciences projects

Demonstrable skills in Python, SQL, and R programming languages. Experience with Databricks and Generative AI technologies. Proficiency in data modelling and visualisation, particularly with Power BI

Proven experience in natural language processing and machine learning models, with a focus on statistical analysis. Experience in large language model prompt engineering and working with embeddings

Excellent presentation and communication abilities. Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on verbal communication
