Job Description

You will be a member of our software development team as a software engineer. The software team creates software for (quantum) physics process simulators, interfaces to and control of our devices, and characterisation of quantum hardware. Your attention will be directed toward tasks requiring high computational performance, such as simulating quantum computing circuits and integrating our quantum computer into an HPC environment. In addition to the other members of the software team, you will collaborate closely with our quantum system architects and quantum application developers due to your unique set of talents.

Requirements
  • A relevant PhD in theoretical physics, computational physics, or computer science (master's degree not prohibited if relevant and outstanding)
  • High-performance computing experience
  • A solid foundation in mathematics.
  • Three to five years of applicable experience working in a cooperative software development team
  • Programming languages: C/C++ and Python
  • Proficiency in standard software designs and best practices for coding.
  • Knowledge of professional software development methods and resources
  • Written and spoken English language proficiency.
