Let's talk about this role
As a Software Developer in our Digital Platforms & Experiences team, a 'typical' day will see you collaborate with a variety of disciplines to build engaging member facing solutions and overcome engineering issues. You will be exposed to an environment encouraging constant learning and upskilling using latest cloud-based architectures. Working in a CI/CD environment, you will experiment with possible technical solutions, writing code, maintaining and writing tests and building solutions (websites, portals and mobile applications) to deliver great online experience for our members.

Let's talk about you

With previous software development experience, as well as the ability to be a great team player, other skills and experience that will set you up for success include:

  • Commercial experience developing solutions in modern languages and frameworks such as NodeJs and React
  • Experience or exposure to cloud services, AWS in particular
  • Ability to apply product thinking in software design with a focus on the customer
  • Strives towards good software engineering practices e.g. code reviews, unit and acceptance testing, continuous integration and continuous delivery
  • Exposure to SQL will prove beneficial to the role
