About the opportunity

Be part of a Multicultural Services Team that requires you to provide highly responsive interpreting services to consumers and staff.

• Primary Purpose/Focus of the role is to provide quality interpreting services for patient care.

• NAATI certification as an interpreter essential, NAATI certification as a translator desirable

• Minimum experience of 5 years working as an interpreter

• Experience in interpreting in acute hospitals in Australia, including knowledge of medical terminology

• Excellent time management, organisational and interpreting skills.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills

• Computer skills in Microsoft Office suite essential

• Compassionate, flexible and positive approach to effective patient services.

• The ability to nurture friendly, respectful relationships and contribute to a collaborative team environment.

You will also be required to provide evidence of, or in the process of obtaining:

• A current Police Record Check and Working with Children Check.

• Current COVID-19 certificate, proof of current influenza vaccination and other vaccination status consistent with public health orders.
