The Position:

This role is ideal for a senior Governance and Risk or Solution Architect looking to transition into a Security Architect position. As a Security Architect, you will play a critical role in assessing and enhancing the security architecture of technology projects, contributing to the overarching cyber security governance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct reviews of new and ongoing projects to ensure compliance with cyber security policies, standards, and architectural principles.
  • Guide solution architects, designers, and project teams, ensuring that security architectures are aligned with enterprise standards.
  • Address gaps, and technical issues in existing and proposed architectures, recommending necessary enhancements.
  • Collaborate with the cyber risk team to highlight risks identified during assessments and advise on additional controls needed for security design reviews.
  • Provide practical guidance on security and risk management concepts, principles, and industry standards.

Skills / Experience Required:

  • A cyber security background. Ideally coming from a governance and risk or solution architecture role.
  • Experience or exposure to architecture reviews and architecture assessments.
  • Knowledge of relevant industry frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001, etc).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to conduct meetings and write reports.
  • Desired: cloud experience or exposure, particularly in AWS. 
  • Desired: An understanding of TOGAF
