We are embarking on a journey of cloud and tech modernisation to deliver state-of-the-art technology products and services, enabling our customers and employees to thrive in today's digital world.

Our technology delivery teams operate in a fast-paced environment where agility and continuous improvement are key to our success. As a Software Engineer, you will join a fusion team of technology and product specialists, working together to build and maintain software that helps Youi achieve its strategic goals.

You will possess a sharp eye for quality in software engineering, balanced with the pragmatism to prioritise incremental improvements and value delivery over technically perfect solutions.

We are looking to hire a mid-level full-stack engineer for our small, shared services team. In this role, you will work on both high-tech projects and legacy system enhancements, with robust support from your peers and team members, ensuring you are not left to navigate challenges alone.

Key priorities

Collaborate with teams to design and implement business-driven solutions. Develop high-quality, performance-focused software aligned with strategic goals. Work across the tech stack, using tools like C#, .NET, JavaScript, Angular, Azure, Kubernetes, Terraform, and UniVerse Basic. Ensure code quality with standards adherence and robust automated testing. Conduct peer reviews and contribute to design discussions. Improve deployment practices for continuous delivery. Apply secure coding practices and stay current with modern development methodologies. Monitor and address issues in functionality, security, and performance. Resolve critical production issues promptly. Provide dependable product and service support.

Ways of working

Ideally, our preference is for someone to be situated at our headquarters on the Sunshine Coast. Nevertheless, we are open to the possibility of having someone based at our Fortitude Valley office. We operate with a hybrid approach, requiring office presence from Tuesday to Thursday at either location, while offering the flexibility to work remotely on Mondays and Fridays.

About you

Ideally, you will have:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. Cloud computing platform certifications are advantageous (Azure preferred). Proven experience in polyglot full-stack software engineering roles, with a preference for C#, JavaScript, and Angular framework. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration within a fusion team. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, focused on delivering scalable, reliable, and high-performance systems. Familiarity with security and compliance best practices in software engineering. Demonstrated success in delivering complex software engineering projects. Experience working in an Agile environment following SCRUM.
