About the Role

Grampians Health is seeking a casual Research Assistant for approximately 16 hours per fortnight. We are looking for someone passionate about collaborating to improve the health of rural and regional communities and advancing the research skills of the health workforce.The successful candidate will collaborate with clinicians throughout the region, as well as with the Western Alliance and Deakin Rural Health.

Key focus areas include:

  • Evidence-based practice and translational research
  • Building research capacity among rural and regional health professionals

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with project administrative tasks.
  • Contribute to the successful project management of the research project as directed by Program
  • Managers (e.g. team meetings, maintaining timelines, directing communications)
  • Undertake literature searches, annotated bibliographies and literature reviews
  • Undertake data collection and analysis
  • Assist with the preparation of written research reports

Skills & Experience

  • Current driver’s license
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Excel spreadsheets
  • Strong administrative and organizational skills
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and within a multi-disciplinary team
  • Tertiary qualification or working towards one
  • (Desirable) Experience in research, clinical audit, or health-related projects; effective stakeholder liaison; data management, collation, and analysis; and strong oral and written communication skills
