Salary: $73,000 to $75,000 plus superannuation per annum

Location: Geelong VIC 3220

Our client is seeking a full-time experienced Hairdresser to join their salon located in Geelong, Victoria.

Tasks required include:

General Duties:

  • Greet clients warmly and ensure they are comfortable.
  • Perform reception duties including managing appointments, handling payments, and responding to phone and online inquiries.
  • Provide expert consultation to understand clients' needs and preferences.
  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the salon, including workstations, tools, and equipment.
  • Follow salon procedures and safety regulations.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships through excellent customer service.

Styling and Cutting Duties:

  • Shampoo, condition, and prepare hair for cutting.
  • Perform a variety of cutting techniques and styles for both men and women, including modern and classic cuts.
  • Provide blow-drying, styling, and finishing services to achieve the desired look.
  • Offer professional advice on hair care, styling products, and maintenance.

Colouring and Chemical Treatments:

  • Conduct thorough consultations to determine clients' hair colour preferences and suitability.
  • Apply permanent and semi-permanent colours, highlights, and lowlights.
  • Perform balayage, ombre, and other advanced colouring techniques.
  • Administer chemical treatments such as perms, relaxers, and keratin treatments.
  • Ensure precise application and processing of colours and treatments, maintaining hair health.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Stay updated with the latest hair trends, techniques, and products.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development.
  • Assist in salon marketing and promotional activities.
  • Manage stock levels of hair products and supplies.
  • Ensure a positive and collaborative team environment.

Requirements:

  • Certificate III including at least two years of on-the-job training, or Certificate IV in Hairdressing
  • At least two (2) years of relevant hairdressing experience.
