Position Details

Primary Teacher – Full-time, Temporary

St Anthony's School, Wanneroo, is a co-educational double stream Catholic school that caters for over 430 students and their families from 3 Year old Kindergarten to Year 6. We are a community that strives to develop and encourage the Christian values modelled by Jesus and where growth of the whole person is enhanced through our educational program.

We are seeking two (2) enthusiastic teachers who will work collaboratively with the Leadership Team, St Anthony's employees, students and members of the parent and parish communities.

Selection Criteria

•    A clear commitment to the objectives and ethos of Catholic education.
•    An ability to demonstrate sound classroom management skills based on restorative and supportive practices.
•    Deliver a quality learning program comprised of: explicit teaching; a differentiated curriculum that engages and challenges learners; and timely, individualised feedback.
•    Utilise Learning Intentions and Success Criteria to guide student learning and promote autonomy.
•    Effectively use technology as a teaching and learning tool.
•    An ability to work with a wide variety of ability levels within the one class and a desire to assist each student to achieve their potential.
•    Excellent organisational and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively with others across the school community.
•    Understand the importance of contributing to the life of the school.

Qualifications Required

•    A relevant four year tertiary qualification.
•    Accreditation to Teach RE or completion of Course Content.
•    Parish Priest reference.
