Position:  Conference and Event Organiser

Position Type: Full-Time

Salary: $70,000 to $80,000 plus superannuation per annum  

Location: Woolloongabba QLD 4102

Our client is seeking an experienced Conference and Event Organiser to join their team located in Woolloongabba, Queensland.

Tasks required include:

  • Actively promote conferences, conventions, events, functions, and banquets, to prospective customers to increase attendance and participation;
  • Address inquiries related to services offered, including room and equipment hire, catering, and other related services, providing detailed cost information;
  • Meet with clients to understand their specific needs, presenting and tailoring package options to fulfil these requirements effectively;
  • Arrange and coordinate a variety of services for event participants, including conference facilities, catering, signage, displays, and audiovisual equipment;
  • Manage the registration process for event participation, ensuring smooth and efficient enrolment;
  • Negotiate the scope and costs of services to be provided, ensuring all services are within the client’s budget constraints; and
  • Supervise the work of contractors, monitoring and reporting any variations to the original work orders to ensure compliance and quality standards.

Requirements:

  • At least a relevant AQF or equivalent associate degree, advanced diploma, or diploma; or
  • At least three (3) years of relevant work experience may substitute for formal qualification
  • A minimum of two (2) years of full-time relevant experience as a Conference and Event Organiser.
