The Opportunity:

Ampcontrol is focused on diversifying and growing the business with a key focus on renewable energy manufacturing and how it can support customers in decarbonisation and mine site electrification.

Our strategic plans for growth and expansion means that we are now on the lookout for an experienced HV Protection Technician to join our WA High Voltage Field Service team. The successful candidate will undertake maintenance and commissioning of primary, secondary, and communications equipment across the Mining, Utilities, and Telecommunications sectors.

This role will require regular travel to remote sites within Western Australia.

What We're Looking For:

Your natural ability to perform work to a high standard, and willingness to work closely with your team will be complemented by the following:

  • Electrical trade qualifications.
  • Experience in taking responsibility for carrying out Maintenance and Fault Finding of Protection systems to customer network.
  • Consistently demonstrated experience in taking responsibility for carrying out Commissioning of Protection systems with low impact to Customers, Infrastructure & Safety.
  • Advanced knowledge of operation, maintenance and development of the electrical supply system.
  • Proven experience in effectively communicating with others both verbally and in writing, including customers.
  • Demonstrated ability to investigate and solve technical and practical problems.
  • A commitment to providing exceptional client and customer service.
  • Prepared to travel regularly as required.
