The role
We are seeking a highly skilled Inventory Controller to join our Global Logistics division at the Telstra Prestons site. This hands-on role primarily supports the Telstra account, which constitutes 95% of our warehouse operations.
This is a permanent position, working afternoon shift Monday to Friday, 11am – 7pm.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform scheduled stock takes and cycle counts to meet customer expectations.
- Compile and analyze results, providing comprehensive reports and recommendations to management.
- Conduct regular site checks, report any discrepancies, and ensure thorough investigations and resolutions.
- Manage and maintain overall site inventory record accuracy (IRA) in alignment with agreed KPIs.
- Develop and implement action plans to address identified defects.
- Oversee inventory cycle counting schedules to meet customer service level agreements (SLAs).
- Collaborate with operations to identify and resolve inventory-related picking issues.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities under time pressure.
- Excellent customer service orientation and effective time management.
- High attention to detail with strong analytical abilities.
- Proficient in MS Office and other office-based technologies.
- Familiarity with providing services in a third-party logistics environment.
- Experience with warehouse management software is advantageous.
- Certificate(s) or Diploma in Warehousing & Distribution and/or Transport & Logistics is preferred.
