Begin your culinary journey with us as a COOK at The Westin Brisbane/Four Points by Sheraton Brisbane. As a Cook, you will be required to practice skills in assigned sections to the standards set by the Manager or supervisor. Assist and/or supervise assigned sections in absence of the supervisor or manager. Train and supervise staff at lower levels when required as well as effective communication and liaison with other departments
Key responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- The ability to work closely with the kitchen brigade following instruction and direction
- Required to follow standard recipes and plate presentations in order to maintain quality standards of production and presentation
- Display an interest in all kitchen activities and helps colleagues whenever possible

- Ensuring that all food products received into the kitchen are of the required standard and quality and that they are stored and rotated correctly
- Check and complete mise en place, par levels and set-up the station
- Follow all guidelines for timely food service to guests
