What you’ll contribute to

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Operations Project Specialist to join our Aftersales Division. The Aftersales Division is responsible for planning, coordination and execution of all national parts and accessories activities including sales, business development, procurement, supplier management, Dealer support and warehouse operations in order to achieve sales volume, market share, profitability objectives and optimise warehouse operations to global best standards.

The Senior Operations Project Specialist is primarily responsible for developing, reviewing, evaluating and continuously improving warehousing and logistics systems and processes at Toyota Parts Centres nationally in order to ensure cost savings, increased productivity and a greater alignment of supplier ordering and service rate targets in line with the Long Term Business Plan.

This is a permanent role based in Kemps Creek with flexible work arrangements.

How you’ll make an impact

Provide specialist advice on and assist managers in developing policies and standards for transport and operations to improve warehousing and logistics performance.

Coordinate, implement and monitor multi-phase Project activities to agreed milestones to improve warehousing capacities and logistics performance. 

Contribute to the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of business systems, processes, and controls (including IT) for all warehousing operations,

Implement new initiatives to support operational cost savings and conduct a training gap analysis.

Coordinate and facilitate forums with key stakeholders to ensure that project plans, progress, and issues are communicated to all stakeholders and minimise warehousing, delivery, transport, and quality issues for the parts and accessories supply chain.

Manage and review Packaging requirements at a national to ensure stock levels are effectively controlled and optimised.

Manage contractor performance and compliance with contract terms, taking corrective action as necessary.

Act as a liaison concerning process issues, warehousing systems, and operations.

Monitors warehouse operations concerning compliance with all relevant regulations and statutory requirements to minimise Toyota’s risk exposure and liabilities.

Degree in Business, Engineering or equivalent experience

Experience working in logistics and/or supply chain management.

Understanding of warehousing operations (desirable)

Demonstrated knowledge and experience in project planning and operational changes and improvements.

Experience in data analysis and systems implementation.

Knowledge of CAD system (desirable).

Experience in contractor management and liaising with different suppliers.

Strong stakeholder management and excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with all.

Ability to maintain all relevant safety processes and compliance documentation consistently to a high standard.

Excellent problem solving and lateral thinking skills.
