Specialist, APAC Accounting

What You’ll Do:

  • Prepare, lead and oversee the month-end accounting close for the APAC entities

  • Validate month-end account balances through detailed review of account reconciliations and journal entries

  • Analyze income statement and balance sheet account fluctuations

  • Support income, indirect and other various tax processes, including working with 3rd parties on assessments and other projects

  • Assist in the management of banking relationships and review and approval of payments

  • Ownership of statutory audits, including managing requests and communication with various external service providers, auditors and tax advisors

  • Support process improvement projects and new business initiatives as they arise

What You’ll Need:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting or Finance

  • 3+ years in a financial accounting role

  • Familiarity with month-end close processes

  • Knowledge of Local and International taxes and regulations (AU/NZ BAS, GST, PAYG, Payroll taxes, Worcover etc)

  • Solid understanding of accounting for international entities, including statutory requirements

Preferred Qualifications:

  • CPA, CA, or equivalent professional certification

  • Public accounting experience

  • Experience with SAP, FloQast, Auditboard, Alteryx, UiPath and/or Tableau

  • Attention to detail with high level of ethics and integrity

  • Takes ownership of areas of responsibility, proactive, self-motivated

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with teams across different regions
