Technical Architect

Location: Hybrid role, 4 days per week in Sydney CBD office, close to Wynyard station.
Compensation:  $190k Base + Super + Bonus
Key Technologies : .NET, SQL & Azure.
  
About the Company:
A leading FinTech company with a robust customer portfolio is seeking a Technical Architect to join their team. This market-leading organisation has a strong presence in the financial sector and is looking for a highly skilled individual to continue their innovative journey and maintain their competitive edge.

About the Role:
This position requires a Technical Architect with a strong background in software engineering. This is not a coding role but demands hands-on technical expertise across the .NET, SQL data migration, and Azure stack. The company’s application is a hybrid between cloud and locally hosted environments. Alignment with the company's technology stack is strongly preferred but not essential. The ideal candidate will lead internal developers and vendors without direct reports.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical leadership and innovation, focusing on automation and product integrations.
  • Oversee the holistic system view and contribute to the product roadmap.
  • Maintain technical accountability and ensure adherence to modern software engineering principles and technologies.
  • Implement security best practices, including secure coding and OAuth, aligning with NIS standards.
  • Represent the company during security audits.
  • Work in an Agile environment and possess knowledge of DevOps.
  • Develop bespoke systems or customise packaged origination systems.
  • Leverage technology to maintain a competitive advantage.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Strong background in modern software engineering principles and technologies.
  • Experience in developing finance systems, particularly in the loan origination space.
  • Ideally, a few years of experience as a Technical Architect.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate complex concepts and gain alignment with stakeholders.
  • Degree qualified (preferred).

Ideal Candidate:

  • From a finance background with experience in developing finance systems.
  • Demonstrates great communication skills and the ability to work with various stakeholders.
  • Continuously seeks to innovate and improve systems.
