At Mugari

Our Mungari Gold Operations are a cornerstone asset located 28km west from central Kalgoorlie, Western Australia (WA) and 600km east of Perth. Mungari has a predominantly residential workforce, with many living in Kalgoorlie Boulder, giving many employees the luxury of coming home every day.

Last year we announced our expansion project, a $250m investment to expand our processing mill. This investment will extend Mungari’s mine life to 15 years and double annual production to over 200,000 ounces per year post commissioning. It is an exciting time to join the Mungari Operations

This roster will be 7:7 and a 12 hour day.

About the role

This role requires an all-rounder who provides backup to the Excavator Operator and is experienced and competent in operating a wide range of open pit mining equipment.

Personnel will be required to work in all sections of the mine, & at all times work in a safe manner, with a high standard of workmanship.

About you

  • Hard Rock Open Pit Gold Mining experience.
  • Minimum 5yrs experience in operating a 110t Excavator.
  • Experience in operating a wide range of open pit mining equipment.
  • Experience in operating a 250t Excavator or larger.
  • Operating machinery safely, competently and efficiently delivering maximum productivity.
  • Identification, reporting and control of   workplace hazards.
  • Maintaining minimum dilution of ore when digging and loading trucks.
  • Prompt reporting of any incidents, accidents and equipment damaged.
  • Contributing towards continuous improvement.
  • Commit to maintaining health, safety and security standards and principles, both within own workplace and through the identification of potential risks throughout Evolution.
