About the Opportunity

We currently have an exciting opportunity to join the Allied Health team as a Allied Health Assistant: Occupational Therapy, where you will be responsible for:

Day to day service provision to support patient care activities for inpatients, outpatients and outreach services of the hospital Direct patient care under the supervision of Allied Health professionals The safe and effective supervision of patients within the outpatient clinics including Hand Therapy and Burns/Scar Management.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

Certificate 4 in Allied Health Assistance or equivalent, or be enrolled and working towards this certificate Demonstrated high level communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary team Initiative in carrying out routine tasks without direction and to report issues requiring attention. Physical strength, flexibility and endurance sufficient for manual handling of patients and equipment. Experience in a patient care setting or in assisting a health care professional
