Team Leader Plumbers

  • Salary $79,014.00 to $91,655.72 p/a + super 
  • 38 hour working week/ 9 day fortnight

About Ku-ring-gai Council

Located 16 km’s north of the Sydney CBD, the Ku-ring-gai area covers 84km2, is home to 124,000 residents and set in one of New South Wales’ most attractive natural environments.

Reporting to the Supervisor Trade Services, your duties will include, but are not limited to:

  • Repair, maintain and install plumbing, sewerage/septic, gas and drainage systems
  • Ensure all Australian Standards or Codes of Practice are followed
  • Supervise apprentices as required
  • Coordinate all work associated with plumbing maintenance works and repairs
  • Ensure thermostatic mixing valves and backflow prevention devices are tested, serviced and recorded in accordance with legislation
  • Undertake audits and maintain sports and parks irrigation systems
  • Undertake audits and maintain stormwater harvesting systems
  • Undertake audits and maintain irrigation tanks and pumps
  • Provide professional advice regarding plumbing to internal and external customers          

Required Qualifications, Skills & Experience:

  • Trade qualifications in Plumbing including current contractor licence.
  • Current C class licence
  • Current first aid certificate or willing to obtain
  • WHS Whitecard or willing to obtain
  • Demonstrated experience in general Plumbing maintenance, repair, testing and upgrade works
  • Experience in the maintenance of septic tanks and sewer systems
  • Experience in the maintenance and operation of irrigation and water recycling systems
