About the role

:

Due to a recent restructure of our Digital Department we are seeking to engage a new Principal Architect to join the team.

In this pivotal role, you'll spearhead the design and maintenance of sophisticated digital technology architectures and principles. Your overarching objective? To empower our customer, market, and business priorities by seamlessly integrating cutting-edge technology solutions.

Acting as the conduit between business objectives and technology capabilities, you'll meticulously ensure that our solutions harmonize with our overarching enterprise goals. Your strategic guidance will drive delivery capability to specific business functional areas, solidifying your position as a cornerstone in our business partnering relationships.

Moreover, you'll play a central role in shaping our future activities through direct consulting and the formulation of principles and roadmaps. Your astute insights will lay the foundation for groundbreaking innovations and advancements, positioning us for sustained success in the digital realm.

Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

Developing strategically aligned digital architectures and roadmaps for our Zinfra business, informed by industry and technology trends, and the operating risk and asset lifecycle status. Analyzing industry, technology, and market trends to determine their potential impacts on the enterprise. Analyzing the current business and IT environment to detect critical deficiencies and recommending solutions for improvement. Collaborating with other Digital teams to ensure the broader digital technology architectures are developed with due consideration of the enterprise, cyber security, and technology risk objectives. Working with solution architects to provide technical guidance and optimal solution design (considering architectural fit, value, and fitness for purpose) to business line and project teams to support their efficient mobilization and successful delivery. Leading the creation of architecture principles and standards (where appropriate) to guide solution decisions for the enterprise that optimize the use of technology. Collaborating across teams to maintain a technical reference model for SGSPAA, including maintenance of the process & tools frameworks to support the architecture function. Proactively engaging with our business and our people on effective ways to leverage SGSPAA's digital assets and roadmaps to increase the value derived from digital investments through a clear understanding of business outcomes. Collaborating across the business to understand corporate and market strategies and designing digital architectures within a particular business line for SGSPAA, including the high-level roadmaps for deployment. Collaborating within the architecture practice of internal and external architects (between 7-12) to develop and maintain integrated enterprise, domain, and solution architectures and roadmaps.

About you:

To be shortlisted for the role your resume will need to demonstrate a comprehensive knowledge of architecture frameworks and patterns, along side Proficiency in assessing current IT systems, identifying areas for improvement, and developing strategic roadmaps for technology transformations.

Please also highlight:

Extensive experience in IT architecture, with a focus on large-scale enterprise solutions. Proven track record in designing and implementing architecture solutions within the energy distribution and retail sector, or similar industries. Experience in leading architecture initiatives and collaborating with stakeholders at various levels. Demonstrated expertise in enterprise-level technology stacks, including but not limited to Enterprise Asset Management, cloud platforms, data and analytics, IoT, and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems. Knowledge of various technologies covering works management, planning, scheduling and field execution such as PowerApps and work order management platforms
