Launch Recruitment are supporting an Australian FS organisation on the lookout for a Senior Infrastructure Engineer (Windows) to join their team on a permanent basis.
This is truly an incredible opportunity to work with a group of driven, talented and technical Engineers who are on an evergreen journey to build and automate the most efficient Windows environments.

The successful candidate will:

  • Act as a Windows SME, as a point of contact for all Wintel systems 
  • Taking ownership and helping all with queries around Windows Server performance and troubleshooting.
  • Acting as a customer liaison for all Windows Workloads 
  • Providing guidance and support to all internal staff around the Windows Estate
  • Ensure that the system design balances functional, service quality, security and systems management requirements.
  • Provide advice on technical aspects of system development and integration 
  • Constantly and proactively upskilling and identifying emerging technologies which could be adopted into Automation and enhance automation or stability of Wintel systems.

Experience required:

  • 5+ years of experience in a similar Windows Engineering environment
  • Strong Windows troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong experience supporting enterprise scale multi domain windows environments across multi-hosted platform environments.
  • Strong automation experience in PowerShell – necessity
  • Hands-on experience with Splunk would be highly advantageous. 
  • Highly desirable technical experience – Ansible, Terraform, Elastic
  • Ability to lead or act as a mentor for a team of people delivering root cause analysis across multiple technologies.
  • Ability to communicate across all levels, articulating, presenting and helping others to understand when necessary
