Job Title: Senior Infrastructure Lead - Windows Expert

A leading IT service provider in Sydney seeks a highly skilled Senior Infrastructure Lead with expertise in Windows to join their team on a permanent basis.

**Responsibilities:**

  • As a key technical expert, you will serve as the primary point of contact for all Wintel systems, providing guidance and support to customers, infrastructure teams, and vendors.
  • You will contribute to project delivery, producing detailed component specifications and translating them into comprehensive designs for implementation.
  • In your role, you will provide specialized third-level support, technical assistance, and monitor issue resolution to ensure timely resolution of complex technical issues.
  • You will be responsible for providing guidance and support to supporting run partners for Windows Estate, producing detailed analysis to help improve processes and document procedures and standards for adherence.
  • You will evaluate and assist in designing and implementing infrastructure solutions, taking ownership of customer queries related to Windows Server performance and troubleshooting.

**Key Skills and Experience:**

  • Expert senior-level experience in Windows engineering, with a proven track record in large, complex environments.
  • Experience in creating design documents and providing level 3 support, deploying and supporting Wintel servers, AD, backup, and virtualized technology in large and complex environments (on-premises & cloud).
  • Familiarity with Wintel roles and feature operability: Clustering, DNS, DHCP, DFS, and experience in supporting VMware hosting technologies.
  • Group Policy and Active Directory authentication are essential skills.

**Desirable Skills:**

  • Splunk and Ansible expertise.

**Estimated Salary:** AU$120,000 - AU$150,000 per annum, depending on experience. The salary range reflects the company's commitment to attracting top talent in the industry.
