If you’re passionate about data and are looking for a career-defining opportunity, this role is for you The Enterprise Data, Reporting & Analytics team is an internal-facing team, delivering exceptional data management services for Shared Services and Client Services teams at BDO Australia. About the role
The purpose of this position is to:
- Provide specialist support to Data Owners to help them meet their accountabilities over data in their assigned Data Domains.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with business and shared service support teams to advocate for best practices in data management.
- Support the delivery of the Data & Reporting Strategy and Data Management Framework.
What you'll be doing:
- Assisting Data Owners to implement the Data Management Framework by turning policies and standards into practice.
- Contributing to the design, administration and curation of the Enterprise Data Catalogue, and promoting its adoption in the business.
- Supporting the Data Governance & Quality Manager to implement and maintain data policies, standards, procedures, operating models and tools.
- Working with the Data Quality Analyst to implement Data Quality Management Plans.
- Working with the Data Compliance Analyst to implement data compliance requirements.
- Contributing to the design and delivery of communications and training to uplift data literacy across the business.
About You
This is an exciting opportunity for the right person to make a positive contribution in a dynamic professional services firm. This role will ideally suit a candidate with experience in a data management role in a large or complex environment.
- 3-5 years’ experience in a Data Analyst, Business Analyst, Technical Analyst, Data Governance or a similar position.
- Tertiary qualifications in business, IT or data management.
- General understanding of data management frameworks, data risk management, data models, data catalogues, business glossary and data dictionaries.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, SQL & Power BI beneficial but not essential.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to see the big picture and work with ambiguity.
- Ability to communicate complex information simply to share knowledge.
- A ‘people person’, strong in building and maintaining collaborative working relationships.
- Self-starter with the ability to work with a high degree of autonomy and able to adapt communication styles to suit a wide audience.
