What’s on offer?

We wish to complement our existing team with a Commercial Manager having a high level of commercial acumen in the construction sector for our Water Projects within our Fulton Hogan Utilities business, Based in SA. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced and well credentialled Senior Contracts Administrator or Commercial Manager wanting to drive their career further. In this role you'll be responsible for:

• Managing, leading and developing the Commercial and Procurement functions within a large integrated delivery team, including working collaborative with key customers

• Providing ongoing commercial support to project teams throughout contract / program delivery cycles

• Managing the preparation and/or defence of contractual claims and variations

• Proactively respond to changes in client and stakeholder needs and expectations and develop collaborative relationships formed on trust

• Design innovative commercial models that optimise outcomes while providing value add/continuous improvement to our client.

• Mentoring and leading a team of Contract Administrators, finance and administrative personnel.

How you'll connect to the role:

• A relevant Degree in law, commerce, quantity surveying, construction management, engineering or a related discipline

• Comprehensive knowledge of commercial models and activities in construction programs, as well as design and construct contracts

• Sound knowledge and practical experience in the application of commercial and contract law

• Ability to apply various techniques to seek constructive outcomes to contract negotiations, including ability to influence others and defend commercial positions

• Experience with the JD Edwards financial application will be highly regarded

• Able to evaluate tender documents and estimates
