About the Role:  

As a Manufacturing Operator (Electronic Assembler) you will play a vital role in completing manufacturing tasks for the Cochlear Implant System. This includes micro-assembly with the use of a microscope to perform complex operations, while meeting productivity and quality requirements.

  • We have full-time permanent positions working afternoon shifts (2pm – 10pm)

  • You must be able to commute to our manufacturing facilities at Macquarie University (1 University Ave, Macquarie Park) and Lane Cove (14 Mars Rd, Lane Cove West). Onsite parking is available at both sites.

About you:  

We provide extensive on-the-job training and support to help you succeed in this role, candidates without manufacturing experience are welcome to apply and will be trained on the job. 

Essential criteria include:

  • Must be able to work in both our manufacturing sites at Macquarie University and Lane Cove (please note Lane Cove has limited public transport options)

  • You must have full working rights in Australia. Candidates on a visa must have at least 2 years remaining on the visa and have full unrestricted work rights. We cannot offer sponsorship. ​

  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions and processes to the level of understanding work instructions, procedures and equipment care sheets

  • Ability to wear manufacturing garments (for example - mask, hood, gloves, hair net, coverall)

  • Please note you are not permitted to wear make-up, jewelry, perfumes, and should wear covered flat footwear as per entry procedures into our manufacturing areas.
