Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the Maintenance Planner will develop and implement MEX (CMMS) system and to carry out planning, scheduling and coordinating maintenance activities including spare parts inventory management (including procurement, issuing and stock take) at our Horsley Park site.

As Maintenance Planner, you will be responsible for ensuring all maintenance tasks are well-planned and executed in a timely and cost-efficient manner. This will be achieved by working closely with other maintenance personnel as well as operations, production and engineering teams to schedule maintenance activities, and conducting inspections of equipment and systems.

In addition, you will ensure that the plant equipment is running smoothly and incorporate findings into the maintenance plan that are outlined through plant/equipment usage, condition monitoring, Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA).

This position is responsible for aligning the maintenance activities with production schedule and to negotiate with production/operations team to block time for implement Preventative maintenance (PM) and Continuous Improvement (CI) activities.

The key focus of the role is to support Safety, Quality, Production and Continuous Improvement utilising Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and WH&S to ensure products are produced to meet the required customer specification, are of a high-quality standard and are produced safely.

**Your key responsibilities will be to**:

- Develop schedules and planning strategies to upkeep and maintain plant equipment.
- Co-ordinate and monitor the maintenance undertaken on equipment.
- Develop MEX, which includes Asset Listing, Populating PM’s as per OEM specs.
- Work Order, PM, CM, CI and breakdown workflow management.
- Manage maintenance stocks - Spares, consumables, rotables and repairs.
- Understand and develop PID’s, PFD’s, Pneumatic and Electrical Drawings.
- Liaise with Production and Planning team to ensure all the PM are aligned to production schedule.
- Monitor operations and equipment maintenance to maximise manufacturing and production efficiency by identifying and eliminating unnecessary complexity within business processes and identification of better ways of working.
- Work with vendors and contractors to evaluate and ensure materials conform to specifications and are of acceptable quality.
- Analyse the risk of failure, inspect and test plant machinery and equipment.
- Support corrective actions and initiate preventive measures for any reoccurrence of equipment failure.
- Maintain all necessary records and documentations.
- Ensure all contractors to site have been formerly inducted with permits and JSEAs filled out correctly.
- Ensure the improvement and maintenance of equipment by calling for repairs or service, in collaboration with Production and Operations team.

**To be successful in this role, you’ll have**:

- Prior experience in Maintenance Planning
- Bachelor’s or Trade qualification in Maintenance and/or Asset Management - desirable, but not essential.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, planning and negotiation skills.
- Working knowledge in troubleshooting and fault finding.
